  10. Upon loading a simple screen is shown. Clicking on the faces will change the
  11. type of player between human, computer and off. Sliding the bar at the
  12. bottom of the screen changes the computer intelligence and clicking on start
  13. starts!! Each player takes it in turns to place a piece on the board.
  14. Players can put a piece in a blank square or in a square where they already
  15. have a piece. When a square has a certain number of pieces on it it will
  16. explode, spreading its pieces to surrounding squares. (It will explode when
  17. it reaches its critical mass. This depends on the number of surrounding
  18. squares. A corner square is surrounded by two squares and therefore will
  19. explode when it has two pieces on it. A middle square is surrounded by four
  20. squares and explodes when there are four pieces on it.) The pieces landing
  21. on the surrounding squares add to the pieces already on them. If a piece
  22. from an explosion lands on an  opponent's piece then it is 'captured' and
  23. turns into one of the present player's pieces. However, if these new squares
  24. are equal to their critical mass then they too will explode, spreading their
  25. pieces to surrounding squares causing a chain reaction. A player wins when
  26. he has captured all of his opponent's pieces.

  30. I hope you enjoy playing Meltdown. I wrote it in AMOS and as I don't have
  31. a compiler it uses RAMOS to run.
